What is the difference between Original Country Members and Other Country Members?

Article V, Section 5.02 (b) and (c) defines the difference between Original Country Members and Other Country Members as follows:

(b) Original Country Members which are Governments that are early adopters of the new Gold Unit system by applying before December 31, 2025; and
(c) Other Country Members which are Governments that are late adopters of the new Gold Unit system, and join after January 1, 2026;

NOTE: There is a significant benefit available for Original Country Members as compared to Other Country Members, which is set out in the Article entitled ‘What is the Special “Adopter” Allocation?‘, which sets out the additional benefit payable by the Fund to the Original Country Members.
