3. When you say that the Gold belongs to God.  What do you mean?

1. Gold belongs to God

Gold possesses divine attributes. In Haggai 2:8, God declares, The silver is mine and the gold is mine.” Similarly, in Psalm 24:1, we are reminded that, The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it—the world and all who live in it.

2. Unique Properties

Gold is unique among all metals: it cannot be destroyed. Though it comes from the earth—a ground that was cursed in Genesis—God’s claim over gold sets it apart from everything else born of that curse. By declaring “the gold is mine,” God effectively sanctifies it, distinguishing it from the fallen nature of the world.

3. Symbolic Nature

In Revelation, God exhorts us to buy gold refined in the fire—a metaphor not just for material wealth, but for spiritual character shaped through trials. This is echoed in Job 23:10, where Job proclaims, When He has tested me, I shall come forth as gold.” In this, gold becomes a symbol of purified faith, forged through the fires of testing.
