Will everyone be forced to use Gold Units or do I have an option? What are the consequences for not converting FIAT to Gold Units?

God does not force anyone to follow Him, likewise every nation and every Sovereign Individual has the option to use the Gold Units or not.

However, there will be consequences to any decision to not use the Gold Units, namely:

Firstly, any individual can still apply to GGMF to open an account and they will have the option to convert their FIAT currency into Gold Units of another nation that has Gold Units as Legal Tender;

Secondly, the exact opposite of Gresham’s Law “bad money drives out good” will occur, whereby “good money drives out bad” for the following reasons: –

(a) Should the Nation opt to not use the Gold Unit, other nations that have the Gold Unit as Legal Tender may decline to accept the FIAT currency as it will be a worthless commodity, for example sellers of oil or gas may only wish to sell/exchange their valuable commodity for Gold Units that have an Intrinsic Monetary Value and not for worthless FIAT.

(b) Other nations, using Gold Units, may downgrade the Sovereign Rating of a nation that continues to use a FIAT Currency. This in turn will result in higher interest rates and debt service, leading to greater inflation.
